Greetings to all of you in Christ Jesus,
I pray this Monday Update finds you doing well. I was so blessed by our Saturday Mardi Gras Leaders Meeting. In that meeting I could sense the “ Strength of the Lord” and a deep commitment by the leaders that attended. Some of you are probably already sensing in your spirit the pressure of the enemy and that is to be expected. That is a good sign and the people that you are leading will be stronger for it, if you can help them keep their hearts and eyes on the “ Prize of Jesus Christ”. I want to say it again that the first tactic of Satan is to drop a spirit of discord in our midst and try to bring us down from within. BUT….greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world. I am reminded of Paul’s exhortation to Timothy when he told him to consider how a soldier of the cross should conduct himself;
2 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
I think that Leadership Preparation is as important as Preparing the Workers. Some leaders will choose times of extended prayer with fasting, some will turn off distractions like the TV in order to deeply devote themselves to the Lord and the Mission at Hand. I am convinced that if you have been called to this battle front the HOLY SPIRIT will help equip you for the GOOD FIGHT of FAITH. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
